You may have already seen on our stories that we’ve painted our living room. I wasn’t sure I liked the colour as soon as it went on the wall and I’m still not sure that I like it now that it’s done. Whoops! Luckily it’s only paint and easy to change but I have to admit that I’m not overly excited about the prospect of having to repaint the room again. Maybe I’ll just stick with it for a while and see if it grows on me….⁣ ⁣ #DScolor #MyDIYMyDecor #SUYhome #InMyDomaine #MyHomeVibe #InteriorBoom #EKBhome #SassyHomeStyle #ColourMyHome #MyGorgeousGaff #ApartmentTherapy #MyHomeTrend #StyleItHappy #MyDomaine #ActualInstagramHomes #MySpaceAndDecor #LiveFabulousAndFearless #Mylvngrm #Ihavethisthingwithhome #sodomino #finditstyleit #decorhome #colourmyhome #makehomeyours #inspire_me_home_decor #interiorstyled #currentdesignsituation #instadecor #designinteriores #colorcolourlovers #mybuildingsitehome

Okay, so how was this sunny photo taken just last week and today I’m looking for socks and boots to wear to go to London?! This weather is bonkers. What’s also bonkers are the opportunities that are coming my way, all due to sharing our renovation journey with you on these squares. Last night was a real ‘pinch me’ moment when I hosted a home event in @johnlewisandpartners Cardiff, with the fab Home Design team @jl_charlotte.a.swales and @jl_rachel.fletcher. (If you’ve got any interior related questions give them a shout, they’ll book you in for a free hour’s consultation!) I did keep it real and somehow manage to say ‘shit’ while they were live streaming on the John Lewis insta account though 💩🙈 (Sorry @molliemarketing_ !! 😂) I’m off to London for a work meeting this morning then going to the @erica_davies @qvc homeward range launch this afternoon. Now that’s what I call exciting! I’m going to meet so many of my insta heroes this afternoon, including, but not exclusively, @the_idle_hands @almost_everything_off_ebay @houselust @threeboysandapinkbath @kerrylockwood_ @life_at_number_63 @this_e17_life I could say I’ll try my best to not swear inappropriately again, but I’d be lying! 🤥😂#sorrynotsorry Hope you all have a fab Friday! . . . . . . . . . . #kitchengoals #cornerofmyhome #interiordesigner #interiordecorating #interiors #interiorstyle #interiorstyling #apartmentherapy #caerdydd #sorealhomes #abmlifeisbeautiful #theartofslowliving #walltowallstyle #interior_and_living #interior123 #kitchendesign #kitchen #interiordesign #interior #interiores #interiør #abmathome #abmhappylife #homebar #bifoldwindow #bar #garden #patio #check3439

1FiveOne is owned and maintained by journalist Emma and it features many pictures from her home renovation project, which has seen her completely gut a former squat and turn it into the kind of beautiful modern home that many of us dream about owning.

The transformation along the way is great to watch and we highly recommend scrolling through some of the early posts from 1FiveOne to see the journey Emma went through.

Our favourite post is from 6th October 2017; it shows some of the ‘before’ pictures, which includes the graffiti that was left on the walls by previous ‘tenants’, or rather, squatters.

Happy first day of May!! Today is my 31st birthday anddd my SIXTH blogging anniversary!! I thought it was a good day to change my profile picture since my previous one was from the beginning of my blogging days! I have a few more wrinkles than I did back then 😆 and I am truly a different person than I was. These days I live life a little slower and I’ve learned to embrace imperfections- in myself, in projects, in life 💛 I don’t know why I chose to start a blog on my birthday six years ago, but it sure has been a fun way to reflect each year on how my DIY/decor/blogging skills have evolved and also how I have grown as a person. This blogging journey has brought some of my best friends into my life and introduced me to so many new people, new skills, and new experiences. Every year I feel more and more thankful for this incredible community that I get to be a part of! Finding people that share your passions is such a beautiful thing!! Y’all are the best!! . . . . . #blogger #diyblogger #bloggermom #bloglife #bloggerlife #bloggerlifestyle #blogiversary #ontheblog #diyblogger #wahmlife #creativepreneur #mompreneur #socialcurator #girlboss #girlbossparty #selfportrait #dontquityourdaydream #wahmlife #recoveringperfectionist #antiperfection #fridayintroductions #mycreativelife #mompreneurlife

I love the sun and warm weather, but today we got some well needed rain, the garden was so dry that we really struggled to do any work. Not that there is a lot of actual gardening work to do until we have a garden. We’ve got a pretty good idea of what we want, but need to visualise it and get a landscape gardener in to finish it off for us. I’m so upset we didn’t get started earlier. Well, not a lot to do now. Fingers crossed we can start soon enough. – – – – – #renovation #interior444 #renovationjourney #instahome #interiordesign #interior #instalove #hygge #scandinavian #scandi #interiorinspo #homeideas #homestyling #homedecor #staircase #stairs #carpet #interiorinspo #inspiration #1970srenovation #modernhome #herringbone #grey #newbuild #staircasegoals #staircase #refurb #oak #glassstaircase #glass #myinteriormydecor #hall

Similar to the previous profile, this fantastic Instagram account also follows a renovation journey, this time by Victoria and Graham.

They have managed to work miracles with what was a quite bland-looking 1970s style detached property, which was gutted and completely transformed into what it is today – a masterpiece of interior design.

The inside_no_8 account has been such a hit that it was included on the Evening Standard Top 20 Renovation & DIY accounts for 2019.
