Buildcom is a very popular Instagram profile with, at the time of writing, over 39,000 followers.
It is the accompanying social media page for Build.com – a US-based online home improvement store.
Their Instagram page contains lots of ideas and inspiration, and many of the items featured can be purchased via their website.
Their website is certainly worth checking out, too, particularly their ‘Learning Centre’, which contains in excess of 200 articles with tips and advice on practically anything you can think of when it comes to home improvements and choosing the perfect additions to your home.

We’re big fans of Christine and Jan, who run the Littlehouseonthecorner Instagram page, so much so that we also included them in our ‘10 Awesome Home Improvements Blogs You Should Start Following Today’ article.
Their profile is a great addition to the blog and we highly recommend that you start following them today.
Christine and Jan are avid DIYers and their profile documents their journey as they transform their own home. The hard work is clearly paying off as we think their home looks fantastic and it just goes to show what you can achieve with a little bit of hard work and a great eye for interior design.

Emma 1FiveOne
1FiveOne is owned and maintained by journalist Emma and it features many pictures from her home renovation project, which has seen her completely gut a former squat and turn it into the kind of beautiful modern home that many of us dream about owning.
The transformation along the way is great to watch and we highly recommend scrolling through some of the early posts from 1FiveOne to see the journey Emma went through.
Our favourite post is from 6th October 2017; it shows some of the ‘before’ pictures, which includes the graffiti that was left on the walls by previous ‘tenants’, or rather, squatters.

The next Instagram profile on our list is Theinspiredhive, with currently just over 6,000 followers.
It’s owned and maintained by Nicole, a self-professed lover of all things DIY and decorating.

As stated in their bio, this Instagram account, renovating_a_nightmare, is ‘Charting the renovation of an Edwardian home in South London’.
If you’re lucky enough to own a similar style property, then you’ll find this account a real treasure trove of ideas and inspiration.
Rest assured, though, even if you don’t have an Edwardian-style property, you’ll still find plenty of ideas and inspiration that you can utilise in your own home, regardless of style.

Similar to the previous profile, this fantastic Instagram account also follows a renovation journey, this time by Victoria and Graham.
They have managed to work miracles with what was a quite bland-looking 1970s style detached property, which was gutted and completely transformed into what it is today – a masterpiece of interior design.
The inside_no_8 account has been such a hit that it was included on the Evening Standard Top 20 Renovation & DIY accounts for 2019.
