NeoGrass foam underlay is a crosslinked polyolefin foam product designed specifically for artificial turf systems. It is manufactured using only virgin base materials so that the technical properties can be precisely controlled.

Available in 10mm and 20mm thickness

Delivered in lightweight rolls that are quick and easy to install. Perfect for both trade and DIY as it doesn’t require specially trained personnel or specialist tools or machinery. Simply unroll directly onto your sub-base material and secure into position, using pins or adhesive.

Excellent drainage characteristics and low water absorption

Unlike some comparable products, NeoGrass underlay has excellent drainage characteristics due to the specially engineered drainage channels. The high-quality polyolefin does not trap water or nasty odours.

How do I install a foam underlay?

Please follow our standard installation procedures and install the foam underlay on top of the laying course. For installing onto existing surfaces such as concrete, follow our guide here. For further information, please call 01245 931200.

I have a dog; can I still use a foam underlay?

Yes, you can. Our foam underlays are more than capable of withstanding regular use from dogs and pets. The high-quality polyolefin has a very low water abosrption to prevent trapping nasty odours.

How long will the foam underlay last for?

Artificial lawns normally have a lifespan of somewhere between 10 and 15 years, and some can even last up to 20 years. Your foam underlay will likely last double the lifespan of your artificial lawn, meaning that it can be reused when the time comes to replace your artificial turf.

Is installing a foam underlay underneath my artificial lawn necessary?

For standard artificial lawn installations, for example replacing an existing lawn, installing a foam underlay is not essential.

The only exception to this would be if you were installing to an existing hard surface and you did not want to see undulations from the existing surface through the grass. For example, if you were to install fake turf directly on top of decking, you would be able to see the outline of the boards through the turf.

Installing a foam underlay prior to laying the turf absorbs the undulations, preventing them from being visible.

How long does delivery take?
