The above installation, carried out by a Nottinghamshire local installer, shows the transformation of a small garden lawn in Nottingham.
The homeowners opted for an artificial lawn as a result of an unsuccessful real grass lawn.
The homeowners have been living in their current property for several years and their lawn had always been an issue, right from the day they moved in.
Just a couple of years ago, they had attempted to start again by re-turfing the lawn they inherited from the previous owners in the hope of better results. Sadly, that ended in disappointment.
The clients have tried everything over the years, but as the garden is north-facing, the lawn lacks sunlight and growing real grass is likely to always be a struggle.

While initially sceptical about fake grass, the homeowners carried out some extensive research on the pros and cons and then decided to take the plunge and go ahead with an artificial lawn.
After contacting their local installer and viewing samples, the clients opted for Aberdeen, as they were amazed at how realistic the turf was. The hard-wearing nylon fibres used to manufacture the turf gave the customers the confidence that they had a chosen a high-quality turf that would both look great and also have a long lifespan.
Alongside the fake grass, a small patio was installed in the one area of the garden that does get sun for a large part of the day, and a small raised bed was introduced to frame the lawn and provide space for some low-maintenance plants and shrubs.
