For south-facing gardens in sustained full sun during a hot summer, the surface temperature can be higher than you’d want for barefoot use. Which Artificial Grass Is Best for Full Sun?

Four factors determine how a grass performs in heat. Fibre type: polyethylene fibres (used throughout our range) retain less heat than polypropylene. Colour: lighter, multi-toned grasses absorb less heat than uniform dark greens. Pile density: very densely packed fibres trap heat between them; balanced pile density performs better. How to Cool Down Artificial Grass in Summer

The most effective method is the simplest: a light spray of water cools the surface quickly — just as it would with paving or decking. The effect is immediate and lasts for a meaningful period.
