Do I have to install a weed membrane?
We highly recommend installing a weed membrane prior to installing your sub-base. It will prevent weeds from growing up through your artificial turf and help to prevent settlement, by separating the sub-base material from the earth/soil.
Is the membrane woven or non-woven?
It’s non-woven.
What sizes is it available in?
2m widths, up to 100m in length. We can cut to the nearest 0.1m (10cm), so you only pay for what you need.
I have a dog; will the membrane absorb urine?
If you have a dog, we highly recommend that you do not install a layer of membrane directly underneath your artificial turf as it may absorb urine from your dog. We highly recommend that you still use a single layer of membrane prior to installing the sub-base, to prevent weed growth and mixing of the sub-base material with the earth/soil.
